Factions Question
The search function is not working well for me at the moment, so I apologize if this has been asked ...three quick questions re: Factions
1) It is my understanding that if you buy Factions, and you already have Guild Wars, that you can use your Guild Wars character to do Factions...if this is the case, won't your character just steamroll right through the quests? I'm guessing the 'pre-asacalon-esque' area in Factions will be only for new Factions characters, but the rest I'm thinking is wide open 2) The new skills associate with Factions can only be added to your Guild Wars character if you buy Factions correct? Does this mean players without Factions will be at a disadvantage? 3) I understand that there are quests that bridge Factions and Guild Wars, but is it true that this is the furthest a Factions based character can go? That is, a Factions character will not be able to Underworld/Crystal Desert quests? I guess my basic overall question is what a Factions based character can and can't do vs a Guild Wars based character Thanks again and I apologize if this has been asked already |

1) Not sure but from what I'm reading there is a convergence point for Ascalon characters and Faction characters after there "pre".
2) Depends, The developers have stated that once the "newness" dies down with the two new jobs people will realize it's balanced. For skills, think like magic the gathering, it's a neat skill but can be counter with existing stuff. It's been stated in forums on how the same stragety's to shut down a war, work on the assasin as well. Now Ritualist.. will proable get tweaked after more testing. 3) The bridge is the battle isles. Not sure what extent they will allow factions character to make in C1. Pretty sure it's going to be very restricted. All these are best guesses from all the various sources I've read. |
